In addition, worn clutches and fakes can lead to loss of precious stones or even the entire piece.

To ensure the longevity of your jewelry, it is recommended to perform professional cleaning at least once a year. Our team is experienced and has wide knowledge about all aspects of jewelry care, including gem cleaning, pearl re -enjustment, and lock -repair and earrings.

Through these specialized services, we can ensure that their jewelry remains stunning and in perfect condition over the years. We take care of every detail to preserve the beauty and quality of your pieces so you can enjoy them for a long time.

General Care Instructions

We recommend that customers remove their jewelry before bed or participate in physical activities. Exposure to certain chemicals or aggressive environments may compromise the integrity of their jewelry. This includes, but is not limited to: perspiration, perfumes, cleaning agents, chlorine, salt water and silver polishing.

2.1. Limpeza da sua joia

Taking care of your trigho jewel will ensure your integrity and brightness over time. Most Trigho jewelry can be cleaned regularly using a very soft brush and soapy water (mild soap without perfume). Rinse with warm water, avoiding sudden changes of temperature, and gently dry with a clean and clean microfiber cloth.

This particular cleaning method should not be used to clean jewelry with freshwater grown pearls. If your jewel is decorated with coins or old pearls, we recommend that you gently clean your creation with a soft, dry cloth, avoiding water.

A silver polishing cloth is an excellent tool for making your sterling silver jewel shine again if the pieces look opaque. However, it will not remove the scratches.

For periodic professional cleaning, contact our service.

2.2. Armazenamento da sua joia

To protect your jewel trigho from damage or loss, store it individually in your box or case after use, as contact with other hard jewelry or hard surfaces can cause scratches.

Em relação às correntes, é recomendável deixar as correntes na horizontal e fechar o fecho para evitar que fiquem emaranhadas.

The jewelry should be stored away from direct sunlight and heat, in a jewelry box or in a blurring protective bag. Never use plastic bags or containers, as they contain sulfur compounds that will cause sterling silver faster and can even make it black. Avoid storing your jewels in the bathroom.

Please be aware that our Trigho gift box is not suitable for long term storage as it is not airtight and fogging will occur over time.

Silver

3.1. Quais cuidados devo ter com minhas joias em prata?

Adotamos o padrão de prata de lei .925, que é usado em todo o mundo. A prata de lei é um metal precioso e pode exigir limpeza de tempos em tempos

The First Rule of Caring for Silver

Silver darkens, especially when exposed to salty air and products containing sulfur, such as rubber elastics and some papers. However, silver that is used regularly usually requires less care, so Trigho encourages you to use your silver every day.

Trigho silver care

Using a small amount of the silver jewelry cleaner in a soft cloth, gently rub the silver several times. Then rinse well in warm water and dry carefully. This will remove darkening and opacity, keeping its silver beautiful. Note that chlorine and bleach accelerate darkening and should be avoided.

After cleaning and polishing, silver should be kept dry and properly stored.

Special considerations

An oxidized finish is the deliberate darkening of recesses in the ornamentation of a silver object to more clearly highlight its decorative details. Be careful as this finish can be removed with excessive cleaning and polishing.

Trigho Silver Parts Storage

Silver should be kept completely dry. If your silver is used frequently, keep it away from excessive air exposure and store it in a darkening test cloth or a silver storage box.

Good storage boxes are lined with tarnish-proof fabric and have a separate space for each individual item. If your climate is humid, place a small packet of desiccant crystals inside the storage area, whether it’s a closed box or a roll of flannel. Avoid contact with rubber bands or other rubber products, as the sulfur in rubber causes tarnish and corrosion.

Trigho offers silver jewelry polishing services and hollow silver objects made by the brand. If you want your silver to be polished, contact our customer service. We are available to meet your needs.

3.2. Como devo guardar minha prata?

To store your silver properly, it is important to keep it completely dry. If you use your silver frequently, avoid excessive air exposure and store it in a darkening cloth or case or a silver-specific storage box. These boxes are usually coated with darkening tissue and have separate compartments for each individual piece. If the climate of your region is damp, place a small package of desecante crystals within the storage area, either in the closed box or in the flannel roll. Avoid contact of silver with rubber elastics or other rubber products, as the sulfur present in the rubber can cause darkening and corrosion.

3.4. A prata pode oxidar?

Silver can oxidize when exposed to saline air, chlorine, sulfur, moisture, perspiration, cosmetics, domestic bleach and other strong chemicals. To minimize oxidation, it is recommended that you store your jewelry in a safe and dry place when performing the following activities:

– Perform housework and outdoor activities.

– Bathing, swimming in pools, hot tubs, thermal sources and ocean.

– Use lotions, hair products, fragrances and other cosmetics.

– Exercise at the gym or play contact sports.

– Prepare meals.

3.5. Como devo manusear meus produtos de prata com acabamento oxidado?

Oxidized silver is intentionally darkened, creating a black sheen for an antique or faded look. Due to its darkened nature, care instructions for oxidized silver differ from traditional unoxidized silver materials.

You should avoid using a silver polish, as this will remove the oxidized finish from your silver. Instead, we recommend wiping your oxidized silver with a clean, dry cloth to avoid scratching. Clean oxidized silver only when necessary.

Gold or Platinum

4.1. Quais cuidados devo ter com minhas joias em ouro e platina?

Between professional services, most gold and platinum jewelry can be maintained with a non-abrasive cleaner. Inspect your jewelry regularly to make sure the settings are tight and the clasps are secure. Avoid exposing gold jewelry to household bleach, which can cause discoloration and possibly disintegration of the gold. Jewelry storage is also important.

Precious Stones

5.1. Quais cuidados devo ter com minhas joias com Pedras Preciosas?

Some basic precautions should be taken with all your jewelry. However, some gemstones, as mentioned in this section, require special care.

Take care to protect your jewels from impacts against hard surfaces and avoid contact with abrasive surfaces. Even a diamond can chip if it is hit hard sufficiently or in the right angulation. Many stones, such as amethyst, emerald, kunzita, opal, pearl, peridoto, tanzanite and tourmaline are very delicate and easily abrasive. Enamel can also chip or scratch when reached. Precious stones can scratch other precious stones and wear out precious metals. Therefore, avoid stacking rings and bracelets that may be vulnerable to this abrasion. Extreme temperatures, perfumes, cosmetics, ultrasonic cleaning and household chemicals can also damage jewelry.

To clean diamonds, use a soft solution of six parts water for a part of ammonia and apply with a soft bristle brush. If the pearls are often used, they should be cleaned and professionally resigned once a year. Between cleaning, clean the pearls gently with a damp cloth.

Some laboratory stones may not be able to stand high temperatures and may be opaque over time. Therefore, the recommendation to withdraw to practice certain activities is important.
